I’m still loving the Dandelion Tee by Millicent Joy for so many reasons.
Customization
There are so many options included, and it’s super easy to make other little hacks like the split color I did on the sleeves.
Ease
It’s been a few weeks since I made my first one, and I’ve had several projects in between, so when I came back to this pattern for my second one, I was surprised how easy and quick it was to sew. Just a few pattern pieces and a few seams and bam, the shirt is basically done.
Fit
So. Comfortable. I’ll admit it: I wore this shirt two days in a row because it’s so comfortable and I love how it turned out.
The only complaint I have is the thumbhole cuffs. I used them on version #1, but a few days ago, I ripped them off and replaced them with thumbhole cuffs from another designer because they are so much easier to construct (once you wade your way through her awkward instructions the first time, anyway), way more comfortable, and a lot more unique with the various shapes and layers.
Dandelion #2 Deets
Fabric:
- Oatmeal rib knit jersey (Surge Fabric Shop)
- Navy herringbone ponte (Joann Fabrics)
Pattern options:
- shirt length with banded hem
- nixed my usual +2″ on the sleeves because the thumbhole cuffs add a generous amount of length
- funnel collar without the grommets/casing/drawstring
- Cedar thumbhole cuffs from Sinclair Patterns
