One of these days I’ll break out of the Peg Leg mold and attempt some other pants, but it’s difficult to stray from leggings and their comfort and versatility. Especially when Made of Love throws some overstock fabric from the Nike manufacturer on their site, and that overstock fabric features geometric prints. Sweater knits, plaid, and geometric prints are my weaknesses, and I did succumb.
About the Fabric
- Black geometric nylon spandex athletic
- 260gsm
- ~125% horizontal stretch
- ~100% vertical stretch
- smooth face and back
As with most athletic fabric, this stuff has a really snappy recovery. 260gsm (~7.5oz) qualifies as midweight, but it feels lighter when worn. I also didn’t have to use my purple needle (for heavyweight fabric) in any areas of bulk—unlike my Brazilian performance pair which also qualifies as medium weight but needed that stronger needle to withstand multiple layers.
About This Make
- Size L
- Low rise
- Regular waistband
- Side panels with patch pockets
- Full length +1″
Things to Note
- I maybe should have sized up. I noticed the waistband rolling down when I was wearing them. Or maybe I was just having a fat day. Fat happens.
