Flip Flop Top No. 2 (It’s Blue)

I rhymed.

I told myself to size up the next time I made this top. But I didn’t. For no other reason than I just didn’t feel like re-tracing the pattern, and the original size I had didn’t not fit me. So here we are: version 2 is the same as version 1.

I also told myself not to twist the binding the next time, and that I accomplished. There were no binding tragedies to be had this time around.

About the Fabric

Main: Ice Blue, Solid Rayon Spandex Knit Fabric from Boho Fabrics

  • Weight: 10.2 oz,
  • Width: 60-62″
  • Horizontal Stretch: 85%
  • Vertical Stretch: 65%

I had enough strike fabric left over from my Babydoll Top to sew this up. Rayon spandex works so well on this top.

Binding: Off White Ponte Roma Gold Foil Embroidered Fabric from Stylish Fabric

I used this fabric for a Bianca Bolero and it was fabulous to work with. Also very pretty with a shimmery gold houndstooth texture on the face. Unfortunately, I got it many moons ago so I don’t have the fabric deets.
