Rock & Republic Sweater Replica 2.0

There is so much I love about this sweater, not the least of which is the fabric.

Marble Black. Brushed Ribbed Sweater Knit from Boho Fabrics

  • Weight: 10 oz.
  • Horizontal Stretch: 120%
  • Vertical Stretch: 60%
  • Rayon/Poly/Spandex Blend

Lightweight, incredibly soft, beautiful drape, brushed back with smooth ribbed face… Oh, it feels so good to wear.

What I Did Differently

While my first version is wearable, it definitely required some tweaks.

  • Added 1″ to the sleeves.
  • Drafted a cuff instead of hemming the sleeves.
  • Added 1″ around the neckline and front open edge.
  • Sewed 4 buttonholes: 1 along the front edge of each front panel, and 1 along the front edge of the back panel on each side. Why, you ask? Because I like to “pin” the front panels back sometimes with bendable jump rings. It adds just a little shaping.

Notes for Next Time

I can’t think of anything! I love how this one turned out.
